FirstBank has once again reinforced its commitment to celebrating Nigerian culture and entertainment with the launch of its ‘DecemberIssaVybe’ 2024 campaign. The highly anticipated initiative kicked off on Saturday, December 13, at Lagos’ Onikan Stadium with Kenny Blaq’s ‘Reckless Musicomedy Festival’, blending comedy, music, and high-energy performances to set the tone for the holiday season.

FirstBank’s ‘DecemberIssaVybe’ is more than just a campaign it’s a cultural movement that taps into Nigeria’s vibrant December festivities, offering free access to premium entertainment experiences. This year, the event comes at a much-needed time, providing respite for Nigerians amidst challenging economic realities while maintaining a legacy of fostering community bonding, fun, and artistic expression.

Kenny Blaq, headlining the ‘Reckless’ festival, brought his unique blend of music-infused comedy to a lively audience. The comedian and performer, known for his seamless ability to merge humor and melody, curated a show that emphasized courage, creativity, and positivity—values reflected in the event’s “reckless” theme. Blaq described the performance as a celebration of boldness and authenticity, inviting fans to embrace the lighter side of life during the festive season.

Supported by FirstBank’s First@arts initiative, the festival featured an array of standout acts, and massive support for festive concerts showcasing Africa’s biggest music stars, including Kizz Daniel, Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, Tiwa Savage and many others also including DJ Neptune, Aproko, MC Monica, and emerging entertainers who captivated the audience with laughter and rhythm. The late-afternoon event transitioned into an energetic night, marked by dancing, comedy skits, and memorable interactions, making it an unforgettable experience for attendees.

The Acting Group Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications at FirstBank, Olayinka Ijabiyi, reiterated the bank’s role in enhancing the December experience for Nigerians. “FirstBank is facilitating memorable homecoming experiences this December for gatherings such as weddings, family reunions, and festivals,” he said.

The campaign continues to celebrate the arts while strengthening the bank’s longstanding support for Nigeria’s entertainment industry. Over 500 VIP tickets, valued between N15,000 and N50,000, will be distributed to lucky participants for concerts, shows, and festivals across Lagos.
