Polaris bank’s commitment to sustainability earns recognition
Polaris Bank’s unwavering dedication to sustainable development and impactful community initiatives has been recognized with the coveted Sustainability, Enterprise, and Responsibility Award (SERAS).
At the 18th edition of the SERAS Awards held in Lagos, Polaris Bank stood out for its innovative approach to corporate social responsibility, particularly its focus on critical interventions that have transformed communities across Nigeria. The awards, often referred to as Africa’s benchmark for sustainability and CSR excellence, honor organizations championing solutions that deliver lasting societal and environmental benefits.
This year’s event drew an array of influential stakeholders, including business leaders, policymakers, and global sustainability experts, all united by a shared vision of advancing Africa’s sustainable future.
In his acceptance speech, Polaris Bank’s Managing Director, Kayode Lawal, emphasized the institution’s philosophy of sustainability as a continuous journey rather than a mere goal.
“Sustainability is not just a cliché, and it is not a destination but a journey. Our involvement in community development projects is something borne out of our deliberate effort to impact the citizens through enhanced socio-economic interventions that reduce the impact of climate change on our environment, as it affects the economy and people at large,” Lawal stated.
He expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that it validates the bank’s efforts to drive positive change. “We thank SERAs for the recognition of our bank’s strategic intervention and consistent investment across communities on projects that impact positively on the people and the environment,” he added.
