LG boosts holiday cheer with ‘Red One’ streaming campaign
LG Electronics is spreading festive joy this holiday season by enhancing the viewing experience for its Smart TV customers through an exclusive collaboration with Amazon Prime Video. The tech giant announced that its customers with Amazon Prime memberships across more than 200 countries, including Nigeria, can now stream the Christmas blockbuster, ‘Red One’.
Produced by Amazon MGM Studios, ‘Red One’ features a star-studded cast, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, and J.K. Simmons. LG is leveraging this collaboration to showcase its Smart TV technology as the ultimate platform for premium cinematic experiences during the holidays.
To amplify the release, LG launched a global marketing campaign in partnership with Prime Video. This initiative includes teaser visuals on LG’s website, digital billboards lighting up iconic locations like Times Square in New York and Piccadilly Circus in London, and extensive promotions at both online and offline retail outlets.
“At LG, we’re inspired by how innovation can enrich everyday life, creating meaningful moments at home. Our collaboration with Prime Video allows us to deliver premium content directly to LG customers, enabling them to enjoy this season’s must-see Christmas blockbuster, Red One,” said Chris Jo, Senior Vice President of LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.
The collaboration also marked a milestone with LG’s sponsorship of the U.S. premiere of ‘Red One’ at the prestigious Lincoln Centre in New York. Guests at the event experienced LG’s advanced TV technology, highlighting its ability to deliver immersive, cinematic-quality visuals and sound.
Prime Video’s Global Head of Distribution and Partnerships, Sandhya Iyer, expressed excitement about the partnership, noting, Thanks to our long-standing relationship with LG, we can continue to delight our mutual customers by creating immersive experiences both off-screen and on-screen through the Prime Video app on LG Smart TVs.”
