Rainoil drives education, community support through festive initiative 

Rainoil Limited has reinforced its commitment to education and community development through its annual Idumuje-Ugboko Children Christmas Party, hosted by the Group Executive Director, Godfrey Ogbechie. The event, according to CableNews24, was held in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, gathered 1,500 children and focused on inspiring the younger generation while addressing the importance of education.

Ogbechie used the occasion to emphasize the critical role of education in shaping the future, urging parents to make it a top priority. “Do whatever it takes that is legally and morally acceptable to train your children well.

“You brought them into the world, so you have a responsibility to train them. Prioritise education, and that’s why we are giving out back-to-school items to encourage the children,” he said. As part of this advocacy, the children received back-to-school supplies to encourage academic excellence.

The event was graced by local leaders, including the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Emmanuel Bazim Chinye, and Vice Chairman Clara Dibia. Rainoil’s Group Managing Director, Dr. Gabriel Ogbechie, OON, also attended, reinforcing the company’s longstanding support for the community.

Beyond the children’s festivities, the Gabriel Ogbechie Foundation extended its impact by distributing over 600 bags of rice and 10 cows to women in the community, ensuring families could enjoy a festive season filled with cheer and sustenance.

Reflecting on the initiative, Godfrey Ogbechie described the annual celebration as a unifying tradition that instills hope and strengthens community bonds.
