Lafarge africa strengthens supply chain efficiency with 155-truck empowerment initiative

Lafarge Africa Plc has taken a strategic step to enhance supply chain efficiency in Nigeria’s construction sector by empowering its customers with 155 trucks. This initiative is poised to redefine logistics operations and drive sustainable growth in the building materials industry.

The company emphasized that the truck allocation represents a significant investment in logistics infrastructure, designed to address critical transportation challenges while reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and innovation.

At the official handover ceremony, Gbenga Onimowo, Lafarge Africa’s Commercial Director, represented by the Head of Sales in Lagos, Babatunde Odufote, highlighted the transformative impact of the project. He described the trucks as tools for empowerment that will enable customers to strengthen their market presence and unlock new opportunities in a competitive industry.

These trucks are more than just vehicles they are tools of empowerment designed to enhance supply chain control, strengthen market presence, and unlock new business opportunities. Logistics Director Osaze Aghatise, represented by Ogbonna Arua, Head of Logistics Projects, underscored the role of efficient logistics in sustaining competitive advantage. He noted that the 155 trucks will significantly improve the timely delivery of products, ensuring project timelines are met and enhancing customer satisfaction across Nigeria.

Beneficiaries of the initiative expressed optimism about its impact on their businesses.
