Mouka supports healthy beginnings with nationwide new year baby celebrations  

Mouka, a leading brand in sleep solutions, marked the arrival of 2025 by celebrating Nigeria’s first babies of the year, reaffirming its commitment to fostering healthy lifestyles and family well-being.

Through a nationwide initiative spanning 13 states, Mouka collaborated with public hospitals to distribute essential items to newborns and their families. These included Mouka Dreamtime Baby Mattresses, pillows, nappies, and baby care essentials, emphasizing the brand’s focus on supporting early childhood development.

In Lagos State, the celebration was elevated through a partnership with the First Lady, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu. Events were held at major healthcare facilities, including Isolo General Hospital, Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital, and Ikorodu General Hospital. A highlight of the festivities was a special gathering at Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital, uniting families of New Year’s Day babies born since 2020.

The first baby of the year in Lagos, Baby Olaolu, a 2.75 kg girl, was born at Ikorodu General Hospital at 12:34 a.m. Meanwhile, twins Osayomi arrived minutes apart at Ifako-Ijaiye General Hospital, while Baby Lawal was delivered at Isolo General Hospital at 1:32 a.m.

Speaking on behalf of the company, Mouka’s Brand Manager, Tolani Tijani, noted the significance of the Dreamtime Baby Mattress in promoting safe and comfortable sleep for infants. “Our Dreamtime mattress is specially crafted to support children’s physical and cognitive development. It is water-resistant yet breathable, ensuring a cool and comfortable sleep environment,” she said.

Similar celebrations unfolded in other states, such as Oyo, Imo, Edo, and Kano. In Oyo State, Mouka commemorated the arrival of Baby Asimiyu at 12:01 a.m. and Baby Olaniyi at 2:43 a.m. at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
