Cablenews24 reports that the flag-off ceremony on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, brought together school management and health sector leaders to mobilize the community through education and hygiene advocacy.

Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, Initiator of the GHC and CEO of CEOAFRICA, emphasized that the project—a partnership with Geneith Pharmaceuticals Limited—is the first of its kind in Africa designed to create student change agents.

“Eradicating malaria requires collective action beyond government intervention,” Prince Ilobanafor stated, urging students to take ownership through weekly sanitation.

Rector Mrs. Olugu Mercy Uche welcomed the initiative, affirming the school’s readiness to drive the program to success and build a healthier learning environment. The Student Union Government President, Sen. E.K. Olugbuyi, pledged full student body support.
