This partnership led to the launch of the ‘Connect NextGen’ Innovation Hackathon in February 2026, an initiative aimed at upskilling Nigerian youth in cutting-edge technologies such as 5G, IoT, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and cloud computing.

Ogunmekan suggests that the success of Oriflame and Ericsson in Nigeria demonstrates the potential for even greater collaboration with Swedish companies across various sectors.
