Lagos Unveils 29,000sqm TY Logistics Hub Near Lekki Port

Lagos, Nigeria – In a major boost to West Africa’s supply chain operations, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday commissioned the TY Logistics Park Free Zone Enterprise (FZE), a cutting-edge facility designed to enhance trade efficiency across the region.

Cablenews24 reports that the event, held at Alaro City, attracted dignitaries including Taraba State Governor Kefas Agbu, traditional rulers, and key private-sector leaders.

Sanwo-Olu hailed the project as a game-changer for Nigeria’s logistics sector, noting that it aligns with the vision of TY Holdings Chairman, General T.Y. Danjuma (rtd), to strengthen the country’s trade competitiveness.

“This facility redefines how goods move across Nigeria and West Africa,” the governor said. “With 29,000 square metres of premium free zone space, it offers businesses speed, accuracy, and full supply chain visibility.”

Key Features of the Logistics Hub

The park provides:
✔ End-to-end supply chain services – clearing, compliance, import/export processing
✔ Smart digital ecosystem – real-time stock tracking, error-free order management
✔ Sector-specific solutions – FMCG, electronics, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and fashion

Strategically located 20 minutes from Lekki Deep Seaport, the hub enables seamless import/export distribution, tax optimization, and access to West African markets.

Sanwo-Olu commended the partnership between Alaro City and TY Holdings, calling it a model for Africa’s economic infrastructure development.

“This project proves Africa can build world-class logistics hubs that drive prosperity,” he said.

In his remarks, TY Logistics Park Chairman Theo Danjuma Jr. described the launch as the fulfilment of a four-year vision to revolutionize regional trade. “We’ve created a logistics backbone that empowers businesses to expand efficiently,” he said, thanking stakeholders for their support.

The facility is expected to reduce operational costs, improve delivery times, and strengthen Nigeria’s position as a trade hub in West Africa.
