As part of its ongoing commitment to social impact, Fidelity Bank Plc has extended support to the Oluyole Cheshire Home in Ibadan, delivering essential supplies to children with disabilities. The initiative, carried out under the bank’s Fidelity Helping Hands Programme (FHHP), provided food items and toiletries to ease the home’s operational needs during the festive season and beyond.

Cablenews24 reports that Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head of Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank, emphasized that the outreach reflects the bank’s dedication to social welfare and inclusion.

“Our Fidelity Helping Hands Programme empowers employees to drive meaningful community projects,” Nwagboh stated. “This visit, led by our newly inducted Visionary Team, reinforces our belief that businesses have a responsibility to support vulnerable groups, especially children with special needs.”

He added that the initiative is a key part of the bank’s onboarding process, ensuring new staff embrace Fidelity’s CSR values—education, health, social welfare, environmental sustainability, and youth empowerment—from day one.

Mr. Jimoh Taiwo, a senior caregiver at the home, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the donation while urging other organizations to follow Fidelity Bank’s example.

“This gesture means so much to our children,” he said. “We appeal to more individuals and corporate bodies to support our mission of caring for these special children.”
