The Africa Creative Market (ACM) is marking its fifth anniversary in 2026 with an ambitious five-city global activation, culminating in a six-day flagship event in Lusaka, Zambia. This milestone year follows successful satellite activations in Cannes, Lagos, Johannesburg, and Kigali, solidifying ACM’s role in fostering Africa’s creative economy.
Cablenews24 reports that following a strong Zambian delegation to ACM in Nigeria, ACM has partnered with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts and other Zambian stakeholders to bring its premier creative economy event to Zambia in 2026. The Lusaka edition will integrate with the Creative Industry Business Summit and the Kwimbo National Arts Festival, positioning Zambia as a leading destination for creative industries and film.
Kangwa Chileshe, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, Zambia, stated, “Zambia is proud to host Africa Creative Market 2026. This partnership reflects our commitment to building a vibrant creative economy that creates jobs, attracts investment, and positions Zambia as a destination for film, culture, and innovation.”
ACM 2026 aims to amplify Africa’s creative voice on the global stage, deepen cross-border partnerships, and improve market access. The event will spotlight Film, Games, Animation, AR/VR/XR, Fashion, Art, Music, Dance, and Digital Media through:
- Conferences and masterclasses
- Exhibitions of art, fashion, and digital media
- Finance and investment hubs
- Women in Film and TV Africa Conference and Awards
