This collaboration will culminate in a groundbreaking exhibition at the prestigious Milan Design Week, scheduled for April 22–26, 2026, in Italy.

The partnership was formally unveiled at the Italian Consulate in Lagos, marking the launch of the Artnovation: AfroItalian Renaissance (AAR) exhibition. The project aims to synthesize the ancient, rugged majesty of Olumo Rock with the sophisticated architectural brilliance of the Duomo di Milano.

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State emphasized that the state’s participation in Milan is not merely a cultural outing but a core economic development strategy. “We are committed to using our creative assets to drive sustainable revenue,” Governor Abiodun stated. “By elevating our indigenous crafts—specifically the world-renowned Adire textiles—and revitalizing landmarks like Olumo Rock, we are positioning Ogun State as the undisputed leader of Nigeria’s creative sector.”

The exhibition is meticulously curated to bridge two worlds. According to Foluke Michael, Chief Curator at Artnovation, the showcase is designed to trigger a global conversation about memory, identity, and the future of design.
Key Exhibition Highlights: * The VIP Debut: An exclusive premiere on April 22 at the Collegiate Milano Bovisa.

• The ‘From the Rock to the World’ Special Event: A keynote showcase on April 23 at 4:00 PM.
• The Art Collection: The exhibition will feature five original paintings and five immersive fashion installations.
• Textile Fusion: A sensory exploration of indigenous Abeokuta Adire blended with classic Milanese lace, highlighting the tactile synergy between Nigerian heritage and Italian luxury.
