SheGlows 2025: Glo Celebrates Women’s Wellness, Empowerment

Globacom hosted its annual SheGlows Summit on Friday, dedicating an evening to the inspiration, wellness, and professional growth of its female employees under the theme, “Wellness for Growth.” Held at the Alliance Francaise, Mike Adenuga Centre, the event reaffirmed Glo’s commitment to fostering a supportive workplace culture.

Dr. Olubunmi Aboderin-Talabi kicked off the sessions by outlining the “Ten Stages of Wellness,” urging attendees to prioritize rest. Her core message was stark: “You can be pitiful or powerful, but you can’t be both.”

Bunmi George, founder of Shredder Gang, provided practical tips on work-life balance, emphasizing discipline and healthy habits, noting, “Your muscles are your longevity organ.”

Ifeoma Williams (Global Image Consultant and Executive Presence Coach) concluded the keynotes with a session on “Commanding the Room: Building Executive Presence and Influence for Career Growth.” She emphasized that true influence comes from authenticity and poise, noting, “People may forget how you look, but they’ll never forget how you make them feel.” She left the audience with a powerful motto: “Only when a woman truly glows does she grow.”

The day concluded with a lively panel discussion, connecting staff members virtually and in person. Attendees praised the event, with one staff member noting the transformation: “My biggest takeaway is to let my brilliance serve, not intimidate.”
