Zenith Bank Rewards 10 Innovators with ₦140m at Tech Fair
Lagos, Nigeria – Zenith Bank has awarded ₦140 million in cash prizes to ten (10) African tech innovators at its fifth annual Zenith Tech Fair, themed “Future Forward 5.0: Tech for Success – Innovate, Adapt, Accelerate.”
Cablenews24 reports that the event, held at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos, featured a hackathon and startup pitch competition, attracting over 2,000 participants across Africa.
Top Winners:
Trust Loop (Hackathon winner) – ₦30m for digital KYC verification tech.
Cubbes Technologies (Startup Pitch winner) – ₦30m for AI-powered EdTech platform.
Eight other finalists received ₦10m each, plus a six-week mentorship program.
Key Speakers:
Dame Adaora Umeoji, Zenith Bank CEO, urged innovators to “think boldly.”
Jim Ovia, Zenith Bank Founder, emphasized youth empowerment in tech.
Gov. Sanwo-Olu called for more tech opportunities for Nigerian youth.
The fair also featured masterclasses by Microsoft, Huawei, and McKinsey, alongside panel discussions on AI, cybersecurity, and fintech.
Zenith Bank continues to lead in digital innovation, recently winning multiple awards, including Nigeria’s Best Bank (2025).
